Gold Tree buys again in Leipzig
Gold Tree Group (Zurich) has acquired another telecom property in Germany near the main train station in Leipzig.
The office building, which was purchased by Gold Tree in a forward deal, has four floors and will be built in the coming months on a site at the corner of Brandenburger Strasse and Hans-Poeche-Strasse. The property is leased on a long-term basis to Deutsche Telekom AG and offers space for approximately 700 employees.
The property is being developed and built by the Dutch Ten Brinke Group. Completion and handover to the tenant is planned for the first quarter of 2018. Gold Tree acquired the opposite Telekom Call Center, also from the Ten Brinke Group, in 2012 and has held it in its portfolio ever since.
McCafferty Asset Management carried out the transaction management for the purchase on behalf of the Zurich-based real estate investor and will also take over the future management of the property. Legal advice to the buyer on the deal was provided by Noerr LLP (Munich). Tax advice was provided by Fair Audit (Hamburg).
