The graduate civil engineer ETH Zurich and graduate company manager (PHW Bern) has held various positions at Frutiger AG since 1996, in particular as Head of Engineering and member of the Executive Board. Christian Remund replaces Stephan Wüthrich, who will continue to work for the CSD Group. The new addition is intended to consolidate growth in the construction sector, particularly in German-speaking Switzerland, it says.

Active in the construction sector since 1992, Remund brings "great experience in building construction, civil and special underground engineering, bridge and road construction, water and leisure infrastructure as well as energy supply, not only in Switzerland but also in various Eastern European countries," the CSD Group writes in its media release. He has extensive management experience and has successfully managed many complex projects as a planner and executor, in the area of personnel management and in corporate development.

Stephan Wüthrich, in turn, will focus in the future on mandate management in the Construction and Environment segment, the CSD Group announces. In parallel, he will be active as a board member in subsidiaries of the construction and engineering group, such as the newly founded Energy-Group.CH. He also intends to continue his lecturing activities at the Bern University of Applied Sciences.

Founded in 1970 as CSD Colombi Schmutz Dorthe, the company is owned by its cadre of employees and has 30 offices in Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Italy and Lithuania. The group says its engineers provide "global solutions for nature and environment, gravel plants and quarries, road and rail, buildings and sites, and water and energy."
