In his new function, Aschwanden will be responsible as a member of the management board for the canal and surface services areas throughout Switzerland. As Director Infrastructure Services, he manages the companies ISS Kanal Services AG in Boswil (AG) and Kägiswil (OW) as well as its sister company ISS Servizio Canalizzazioni SA in Ticino. The core business of all units is the maintenance and repair of sewer networks, roads and tunnels.

Together with the management team and around 260 employees, Aschwanden will look after a national customer portfolio from next year onwards, consisting of cantons, around 300 municipalities and over 10,000 companies and private individuals.

Aschwanden succeeds Reto Färber (53) on the Swiss ISS management board. After "four successful and intensive years," Färber has decided to take on a new challenge outside the company, the company writes in a media release.

Aschwanden is a trained electrician and has an engineering degree from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts as well as an MBA from the University of Birmingham in Singapore. He is currently still working for BKW/Arnold AG in Wangen an der Aare (BE).
