The German architect, who was born in 1967, grew up on Lake Constance and trained at the Technical University of Darmstadt, became acquainted with integral planning at ATP in all its supporting functions during his career, the company writes. In 1998, after his studies, initial professional experience and four years at SIAT in Munich, Wehrle started as a team architect with a focus on industrial construction/microelectronics at ATP in Innsbruck.

In 2001, he was appointed Associate and Group Head. Ten years after joining, he moved to Zurich as associate partner and group head, where he was appointed managing director in 2014. Since 2016, Wehrle - following Alfred Wegmann's retirement - has been managing the growing Zurich office together with Michael Gräfensteiner.

ATP Zurich is one of nine independent planning locations with about 40 architects and engineers. The area of activity covers mainly Switzerland and southern Germany. Emerging from the Zurich office Kuhn Fischer Partner, the office was built up into a full site for Integral Planning in 2010 after integration. Since 2017, the location has been operating as ATP Architekten Ingenieure Zürich AG. The office plans complex building constructions as well as revitalizations and redevelopments in the sectors of industry/logistics/research, residential, health and retail.
