Presentation of the Real Estate Awards 2017
On October 24, the Real Estate Awards were presented in Zurich for the seventh time. The awards went to Post Immobilien, Privera, Marazzi + Paul, Peach Property Group and Markus and Herbert J. Wüst.
The brothers Markus and Herbert J. Wüst from the Intercity Group were honored as "Real Estate Personality 2017".
The architectural firm Marazzi + Paul was the winner in the project development category for the new 3M headquarters in Langenthal. Nominated were Atelier WW with the Giessen-Areal in Dübendorf and Schwarz Architekten with "Neugrüen" in Mellingen, the first and currently largest Swiss residential development with energy standard Minergie-P-Eco and -A-Eco.
Privera won the award in the marketing category; the jury considered the concept for marketing the Tonwerk Ost residential development in Lausen (BL) worthy of an award. The nominees in this category were the Intercity Group for the marketing strategy of the Freilager Zurich and Core Immobilien AG, which relies on videos to market residential properties.
Swiss Post and its real estate subsidiary took the win in the management category. The award went to a digital service-on-demand application for facility management. Nominated were Privera with a digital apartment application and Reso Partners with a digital operational management concept.
Peach Property Group won in the stock market performance category - this award is not given by the jury, but is determined on the basis of the company's performance on the stock market over the past year. Peach Property took the win with a performance of 36.52 percent.
The Real Estate Award was launched in 2011, and since then the award has been presented annually at Real Estate Night to outstanding real estate projects and services as well as to personalities in the industry. A jury of real estate professionals judged the submitted projects based on established criteria. This year, the jury consisted of Dr. Riccardo Boscardin, Markus Graf, Peter Mettler, Dr. Beat Schwab and André R. Spathelf.
