The City Hotel Oberland is located in the center of Interlaken (BE), has 192 rooms and, according to the new owner Acron, has an above-average occupancy rate. It is to be repositioned and modernized; plans include a show restaurant, an outdoor terrace facing the marketplace, a lounge bar and retail space. Barcli Hospitality Management GmbH has been engaged as the operator of the hotel. According to Acron, the two managing directors Meinhard Huck and Lucas Meier bring a lot of experience in the operational hospitality business.

Acron Helvetia XII will carry out a capital increase to give new investors the opportunity to participate in the project. A distribution of around 9 percent per year is forecast. The total return (IRR) of the investment is expected to be just under 15 percent p.a. after the sale, which is planned for 2021.

The Acron Group holds several hotels in Switzerland and neighboring countries, such as the Steigenberger Alpenhotel and Spa in Gstaad, the Radisson Blu Hotel at Zurich Airport, the Steigenberger Airport Hotel in Berlin-Brandenburg and the Motel One at Vienna's Westbahnhof. Currently, hotel properties account for approximately 40 percent of Acron's investments. The company's transaction volume amounts to more than CHF 1.7 billion as of mid-October 2017.
