New spin-off of the Intercity Group
Michael Blaser and David Gränicher, together with the Intercity Group as co-shareholder, are founding a new company that will focus on project development consulting and the marketing of new construction projects in the greater Zurich area.
The newly founded Blaser Gränicher AG will move into offices in Küsnacht (ZH) as of February 1, 2018. The company's Board of Directors is composed of Michael Blaser (Chairman) and members David Gränicher and Herbert Wüst. The company will maintain close cooperation with the structures of the Intercity Group and sees itself as a complement to the Group's service offering in the area of consulting, according to a media release.
Founder with many years of experience
The two founders of the spin-off, Michael Blaser and David Gränicher, have so far been active primarily in marketing consulting, especially for new residential buildings by large developers. Both have extensive experience in the design and execution of such projects.
Michael Blaser has been working for the Intercity Group in various functions since 2000. Since 2005, he has managed Wüst und Wüst AG, the Intercity Group company specializing in the marketing of luxury properties. Since 2010, Blaser has also been a member of the Group Executive Board of the Intercity Group and heads the "Residential Marketing" division. As of the end of 2017, he will step down from Group Management, but will remain a member of the Board of Directors of Wüst und Wüst AG.
David Gränicher joined Wüst und Wüst AG in 2011. The real estate specialist with many years of experience was responsible for the conception and execution of the marketing mandates of Wüst und Wüst AG as well as Intercity Zürich AG as project manager for new buildings.
Changes in the Intercity Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of Intercity Group Holding AG is also making organizational and personnel changes within the Group as of January 1, 2018: Markus Wüst takes over the newly created position of CEO Intercity Marketing at Intercity, currently consisting of the operational structures of Intercity in Zurich, Zug, Lucerne and Basel. At the same time, the Board of Directors of Intercity Group appoints Beat Hürlimann as the new CEO of Wüst und Wüst AG. He was able to celebrate his tenth anniversary in 2017 and has so far managed the company's branch office in Zug, which he will continue to head.
