Bernhard Salzmann has been the SBC's new head of policy and communications since March 1. After studying history, journalism and constitutional law at the University of Fribourg, the 37-year-old first worked for Swiss Post and later for the Swiss Confederation of Commerce (sgv), where he was most recently Head of Communications and Editorial. As head of politics and communications at the SBC, Salzmann succeeds Martin A. Senn, who left the association in November 2017.

Already on January 1, 2018, Marc Aurel Hunziker (38) took over as Vice Director of the Department of Vocational Education and Training at SBC. Hunziker studied humanities and business administration. At the Canton of Aargau, he was involved in teaching and school supervision for almost ten years, most recently for five years as head of the trade, industry and technology division.
