PropTech: Privera and Wincasa with new online tenant portals
Real estate service providers Wincasa and Privera are expanding their online services for tenants. Wincasa, which is part of Swiss Prime Site, has relaunched its existing My Wincasa online portal, while Investis subsidiary Privera is now rolling out its portal across Switzerland.

Wincasa has introduced a number of innovations for its tenant portal My Wincasa, which was launched two years ago, and is cooperating with newhome.ch, the real estate portal of 18 cantonal banks, among others. Prospective tenants of Wincasa apartments will in future be able to apply for the apartment online via the advertisement published on newhome.ch.
"The pilot phase has shown that prospective tenants are making active use of the service. We have therefore decided to offer it throughout Switzerland," says Jean-Pierre Valenghi, CEO of newhome.ch AG. Wincasa says that other major real estate portals have shown interest in the process, meaning that a large proportion of the 68,000 residential rental contracts managed by Wincasa will be able to change tenants online in the future. "The process is also a great relief for us, as digital recording minimizes sources of error and thus leads to better quality and more efficient processing of inquiries," says Andrei Roth, Branch Manager at Wincasa Zurich, who has been involved in the pilot phase from the outset.
In addition, Wincasa has expanded its range of services from cleaning and relocation services, among others, to include services such as child and pet care, household services and senior citizen services. In this way, we are optimizing the living experience for all tenant groups. The contractual partner in each case is a regional service provider.
Meanwhile, Privera rolled out its online tenant portal, which was previously only available in Bern and Solothurn, to all its residential tenants throughout Switzerland as of May. The portal includes a service center for inquiries and damage reports, digital tenant dossiers and a news feed, and there is also access to the Movu relocation platform. In the test phases, almost 40 percent of the activated tenants used the portal, which proves how positively it is received by the tenants, Privera says.
The company developed the portal in partnership with technology company Allthings Technologies and is now making it available to 36,000 residential tenants across the country in the coming weeks.
