BS2 strengthens board of directors with three real estate experts

Adrian Altenburger, Ralf Bellm and Urs Hausmann join the board of directors of building technology provider BS2. The Chairman of the Board of Directors is Christoph Zabrowski, formerly a partner at Wüest Partner.

BS2 AG was founded in 2004 by Balz Halter and Hansjürg Leibundgut. The company develops and sells CO2 emission-free building technology systems and supports customers in the energy optimization of real estate.

The company expects the three new board members to bring their expertise in real estate development and investment to BS2 AG, according to a statement.

Prof. Dr. Adrian Altenburger is Professor and Head of Institute and Course for Building Technology and Energy at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and Vice President of the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects SIA. He holds various board mandates and advises in the field of energy and building technology on national and international construction projects, studies, expert reports and competitions.

Dr. Ralf Bellm is an architect and construction economist and worked for the Hochtief Group for almost 20 years in management positions, the last ten of which as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Hochtief Development Switzerland. Since 2016, Bellm has been a founder and member of the Board of Directors of the consulting and development company Bettr++ AG. He is also a member of the think tank THE HUS.institute in Lichtenstein and on the advisory board of Crowdhouse.

Dr. Dr. Urs Hausmann worked for almost 20 years at Wüest Partner in Zurich. He was a partner there from 1999 to the beginning of 2012 and Chairman of the Board of Directors from 2006 to 2012. An economist and lawyer, he is the owner of the consulting firm Kaori and holds mandates at Akara Funds, the SBB pension fund and the Testina investment foundation.

The board of directors of BS2 AG also includes company founder Leibundgut, professor emeritus of building services engineering at ETH Zurich, and Dr. Christoph Zaborowski as chairman. Zaborowski was employed by Wüest Partner for 16 years, eleven of which as a partner. Since 2015, he has been the owner of the development and investment company REFL Invest (Real Estate for the Future of Living), which aims to promote sustainability and innovation in the real estate industry.

Zaborowski also holds mandates as a board member or member of the investment committee, including at Deal Estate, Credit Suisse Funds, Steiner Investmentfoundation and FG Wohninvest Deutschland. Zaborowski has chaired the Board of Directors of BS2 AG since 2016. Martin Schmutz is no longer a member of the Board, having stepped down at the beginning of 2018 after six years on the Board.
