According to a report in the "Handelszeitung", the real estate platform Crowdhouse is looking for a new strategic partner.

How the Handelszeitung with reference to "well-informed circles," Tamedia and Migros are interested in the startup. Banks, insurers and investment companies are also under discussion, possibly as part of a group. It remains to be seen whether the new strategic partner or partners will acquire a majority stake in Crowdhouse. A decision has not yet been made, and the deal may not be closed until the end of the year.

Crowdhouse, Migros and Tamedia commented on the information to the Handelszeitung not.

Investors can acquire co-ownership of real estate via Crowdhouse. The startup was founded in 2015, in the summer of 2016, Luzerner Kantonalbank joined as a strategic partner. According to information from the Handelszeitung the company aims to achieve over CHF 80 million in sales and an Ebitda profit of 37 million in three years. Last year, it came to ten million in sales and three million in profits. So far, 63 properties have been purchased via the platform, it said. Expansion abroad is being examined, according to the Handelszeitung go on.
