Following the closing of the first tranche, HV5 has made its first equity investment in a single asset deal managed by Acron, BrickVest announces. The fund is acting as an equity co-investor in the deal, initially taking a CHF 1 million stake with the option to increase its investment to 40 million in further offering rounds.

The portfolio, which is backed by 30 percent equity, reportedly consists of high-quality office buildings worth around CHF 180 million in the Zurich and Bern conurbations. Tenants include well-known companies such as Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Baxter and T-Systems. The portfolio is managed by Acron. The aim of the investment strategy is to achieve an ongoing annual dividend of at least five percent as well as an increase in value over the holding period.

HV5 is part of the "Brickvest Harvest Investment Fund Series", a group of AIF with thematically focused strategies. The funds are managed by Brickvest and are designed to provide professional European investors with cost-efficient access to institutional real estate investments.

The first tranche of HV5 has been subscribed by 17 professional investors from Germany, France, the UK, the Netherlands and Scandinavia, BrickVest says. These are family offices and very wealthy individuals (high net worth individuals) who hold assets under management of around 100 million euros and attach importance to a high proportion of real estate in their portfolio. In order to meet the ongoing demand from European investors for high-quality, income-oriented investment strategies with a Switzerland focus, HV5 is using its option to expand its participation in the Acron deal via additional equity fundraising through the BrickVest Access platform in 2018, it added. Acron and BrickVest had announced their cooperation at the end of 2017.
