SF Retail Properties Fund has made additional purchases

The SF Retail Properties Fund reports the purchase of a total of five properties with a total value of CHF 80.4 million.

The latest new acquisition of the SF Retail Properties Fund is a retail property at Industriestrasse 15 in Volketswil (ZH) with 6,350 sqm of leasable space. The property is located in the local retail cluster in the immediate vicinity of Volkiland, Bauarena and other retail brands, according to the fund management. The general tenant of the property is MediaMarkt.

Back in February, the fund took over four properties in Gretzenbach (SO), Zweisimmen (BE), Flums (SG) and Hinwil (ZH). The properties comprise retail, commercial and warehouse space as well as around 430 customer parking spaces; anchor tenants are Denner, Lidl and Aldi.

A tenant has been found for the last vacant retail space of 1,550 sqm at Grütpark Regensdorf, the statement continues. The handover is scheduled for late fall 2018. This means that the property is fully leased nine months after the purchase.

According to the fund management company, over 40 leases were concluded in the past twelve months, accounting for around 38 percent of the rental income of the overall portfolio and now with a term of up to 17 years. The market value of the SF Retail Properties Fund has risen to CHF 676.8 million following the latest acquisitions.

The fund invests in properties with retail space for the retail trade throughout Switzerland. In addition to retail space, the properties may also contain commercial, office space or apartments.
