Perfect takeover
Bouygues Construction and Colas complete the acquisition of Alpiq Engineering Services.

At the end of July, following approval by the European and Swiss competition authorities, Bouygues Construction and Colas Rail, the track construction subsidiary of Colas (also part of the Boygues Group), were able to complete the purchase of all shares in Alpiq InTec AG (Zurich) and Kraftanlagen München GmbH (Munich). The acquisition was based on an enterprise value of CHF 850 million (Bouygues Construction: CHF 700 million, Colas Rail: CHF 150 million); the purchase price of all shares was paid in cash at the closing.
According to Bouygues, Alpiq InTec will continue to operate on the market under its own name for the time being; from mid-October, the company will present itself under the umbrella of the Bouygues Construction Group. Stéphane Schneider, General Manager of Bouygues Energies & Services Switzerland, has also been responsible for the Alpiq InTec Group since August 1, 2018.
According to Bouygues Construction, the acquisition strengthens its presence in Switzerland as a business location with activities that are highly complementary to those of its subsidiaries Bouygues Energies & Services Switzerland, Losinger Marazzi, VSL and PraderLosinger.. In addition, Alpiq Engineering Services offers Bouygues Construction the opportunity to gain a foothold in key European markets, namely Germany and Italy.
