Claus Thomas becomes CEO at BNP Paribas REIM in Germany
Claus Thomas, currently still Chairman of the Management Board at LaSalle Investment Management in Germany, will become the new CEO of BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management Germany. He succeeds Reinhard Mattern.

Claus Thomas (54) will take up his new position at the beginning of 2019. His predecessor as CEO of BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management Germany Reinhard Mattern (61) will leave the company when his contract expires.

Just a few days ago it was announced that Claus Thomas would be leaving the JLL Group at the end of the year. He has worked for the company for a total of 27 years. In 1991, Thomas started at JLL in the Capital Markets division; in 2000, he moved to the then newly founded LaSalle Investment Management instead, whose German branch he helped to establish.In 2010, LaSalle Investment Management Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft was founded; there, Thomas was first Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board and from 2013 Managing Director. In addition, he was a member of the European Management Board of JLL since 2009.
BNP Paribas REIM managed is responsible for asset management within BNP Paribas Real Estate. According to its own figures, the division acquired new business worth €3.1 billion last year. As of year-end 2017, the division managed assets worth 27.4 billion euros in Europe.
