PwC: Kurt Ritz leaves the company

Kurt Ritz has decided to leave PwC and to work in the future as an independent professional board member, foundation board member or as a member of investment committees.

After studying architecture and economics, Kurt Ritz joined PwC in 1995 and built up and led the Real Estate Advisory team in the years that followed. With his team, he has executed countless valuation, transaction and advisory mandates in the real estate sector. In 2004, he was appointed partner. From 2010 to 2013, he was also head of the Zurich office, and from 2013, head of the deals team and thus a member of the leadership team of PwC Switzerland's advisory business. Since 2013, he has also been a member of the Swiss Oversight Board of PwC Switzerland.

Kurt Ritz was a lecturer at CUREM, at the HWZ as well as at the IFZ. He was also active as a speaker, panelist or moderator at many real estate events. In addition to many publications in magazines and newspapers, he was also co-author of the first two editions of the "Swiss Valuation Standards". He was also Chairman of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in Switzerland from 2007 to 2010.

Kurt Ritz will leave the firm by the end of June 2019 at the latest after more than 24 years with PwC, 15 of which as a partner. The Real Estate Advisory team will continue to be led by Marie Seiler, as in recent years. (bw)
