Expo Real real estate fair ends with new record
This year's Expo Real in Munich ended on October 10. As Messe München writes in its final report, both the number of exhibitors and participants increased compared to the previous year. The real estate industry is doing well, the trade fair company concludes.

"Reflecting the boom in the real estate industry, Expo Real 2018 set a new record with 2,095 international companies, cities and regions exhibiting, up from 2,003 in 2017," said Klaus Dittrich, CEO of Messe München. The number of participants increased by 6.6 percent to 44,536 compared to the previous year, he added.
Key topics at the fair were opportunities and risks ten years after the financial crisis and global investments in the current phase of the cycle. In addition, the industry intensively discussed how affordable housing can be realized. Digitization was also a major topic at the fair, with more than 60 young PropTech companies presenting themselves at the Real Estate Innovation Forum, for example.
Swiss Circle was represented at the real estate fair for the 20th time this year. Highlights of the 350 sqm booth were the models of "The Circle" at Zurich Airport and "Uptown Basel" as well as a Digital Corner. (ah)
