Further tenants for SSN project in Mannheim
Zug-based SSN Group reports further leasing successes for its development project in Mannheim, Germany.
The SSN Group is realizing the new construction of a hotel and office building in Mannheim directly next to the main train station. The building comprises six basement floors with a height of 23 meters as well as a high-rise building. The building is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2020.
A large accounting firm and a four-star hotel with 150 rooms have already been confirmed as anchor tenants. Now, according to SSN, two more companies have leased office space in the project: An e-commerce company will move into 2,000 sq. ft. and set up its German headquarters at the site, it said. An IT consulting firm has leased 1,100 sq. ft. and will more than double its space, SSN says, though it did not name the companies. The leases were brokered by JLL. According to SSN, with these latest deals, more than 75 percent of the office space in the project is leased; negotiations are underway for the remaining space.
The project in the center of Mannheim was acquired by the SSN Group in 2017 as part of a portfolio purchase. The city of Mannheim with the neighboring cities of Heidelberg and Ludwigshafen is considered a strong business location in southwestern Germany. (ah)
