Vontobel Sustainable Real Estate Switzerland increases capital

Vontobel Asset Management carries out a capital increase for the real estate fund Vontobel Sustainable Real Estate Switzerland.

The second capital increase of Vontobel Sustainable Real Estate Switzerland, which started on October 25, 2018, is expected to raise around CHF 75 million. The fund management intends to use the proceeds to further expand the portfolio, which currently stands at around 230 million. In particular, purchases of residential properties in the cantons of Zurich and Valais that have already been notarized are to be financed, Vontobel Asset Management announced.

Vontobel Sustainable Real Estate Switzerland invests primarily in residential properties throughout Switzerland. One investment criterion is the sustainability of the properties in terms of energy and the environment, comfort, quality of use, mobility and surroundings. The capital increase is intended to achieve better diversification of the portfolio and enable further acquisitions.

The issue price is CHF 99.70 per share including issuing commission. The subscription period runs from October 25 to November 19, 2018. Payment will be made on November 22, 2018.

A maximum of 757,875 shares will be issued, increasing the number of shares outstanding from currently around 1.52 to up to 2.27 million. The issue will be carried out on a commission basis ("best effort basis") as part of a rights offering in Switzerland. One subscription right will be allocated to each existing share, and two subscription rights will entitle the holder to subscribe for one new share against payment of the issue price in cash.
