ISS: New addition to the management team

Dr. Mathias Gantenbein will be responsible for the North/South region as Managing Director and member of the Executive Board of ISS Switzerland from March 1, 2019. He succeeds Roland Fitze, who is retiring.

The North/South region at ISS Switzerland comprises Northwestern Switzerland, Espace Mittelland, Central Switzerland and Ticino. Around 4,400 employees generate an annual sales volume of CHF 155 million there.

Dr. Mathias Gantenbein has been CEO at Bern-Belp Airport for the past three years. He studied economics at the University of Bern, where he also earned his doctorate. At Credit Suisse, he worked as a project manager, in business development and most recently as Head Transaction Management in the area of aircraft financing. In 2011, he moved to the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) as Head of Special Financing for Aviation. He then took over the strategic and operational management of the Federal Travel Center (FTC) at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA). (ah)
