Akara Diversity PK raises 194.2 million
The Akara Swiss Diversity Property Fund PK has successfully completed its third capital increase. The fund received approximately CHF 194.2 million.

The third capital increase of the real estate fund launched in October 2016 was oversubscribed, says the fund management Akara Funds. There are now 628,320 units in circulation, distributed among 73 investors. The two largest investors held about 32 percent, the five largest investors about 54 percent and the ten largest investors about 71 percent of the shares, it adds.
The new shares will be paid on November 30, 2018, when the funds from the capital increase are to be fully invested, says Karl Theiler, CEO of Akara Funds. On the one hand, the intention is to invest in real estate assets and projects throughout Switzerland and, on the other hand, to reduce short-term debt capital. For example, the fund recently acquired three residential properties in Zurich and Winterthur.
The Akara Diversity PK is aimed at tax-exempt pension funds domiciled in Switzerland as well as social security and compensation funds. In addition, investment funds may invest, provided that their investor base consists exclusively of these institutions. Investments are made in existing properties as well as in development and construction projects with the use types "residential and commercial" throughout Switzerland. The properties are mainly held directly. (ah)
