ISS and Swisscom extend FM contract
ISS Switzerland and Swisscom have agreed to extend the Integral Facility Management contracts ahead of schedule as of 1 January 2019 until the end of March 2024. At the same time, a new contract model will be implemented.
ISS has been working for Swisscom since 1999, initially taking on cleaning and caretaking services. Four years ago, the FM service provider then won the tender for Swisscom's Integral Facility Management - from ISS's point of view "an important strategic success". Since then, the company has been responsible for all infrastructural and technical FM services in the entire Swisscom building portfolio. According to a statement, the service contracts cover 24 data centres, around 60 office buildings and over 1,000 operational buildings with a total area of around 1.1 million square metres.
With the contract extension, ISS and Swisscom have agreed on a new model, with a focus on "output-based collaboration" and ISS taking on additional fiduciary responsibility, the statement added. (ah)
