Implenia wins contract in Norway
Implenia has won the contract for a road construction project in Norway. The contract is worth around CHF 25 million.
Implenia is to build a road between Sumstad and Hongsand with two tunnels on behalf of the Norwegian road authority Staten vegvesen.
According to Implenia, the existing road is narrow and frequently affected by avalanches due to its exposure. The new road will therefore also have two tunnels, 920 and 670 meters long respectively, as part of an avalanche protection measure to ensure safe use all year round. In addition, there is a new section of road to be built that is just over one kilometer long.
Work on the project will begin before the end of February and is expected to be completed by December of next year. (ah)
