BFW: Andreas Brügger becomes CFO
The new CFO of BFW Liegenschaften AG will be Andreas Brügger and not Reto Mariani, as the real estate company announced in early March.

Andreas Brügger will take up his post as chief financial officer (CFO) and member of the executive board of BFW Liegenschaften on May 15, the company says. He succeeds Philipp Hafen, who will leave BFW. Originally, Reto Mariani was to succeed Hafen as CFO, that's how BFW announced it at the beginning of March. Now, an April 5 statement from the company says Mariani has "decided to pursue another professional activity outside BFW Liegenschaften AG."
CFO-designate Andreas Brügger (Swiss, born 1961) studied economics at the University of Zurich and worked in the areas of group controlling, reporting, communications, taxes and law. He has been self-employed since 2003, according to the statement, and is in charge of various mandates in the areas of business and association management as well as finance and administration.
Serge Aerne steps down as CMO
BFW further announced that Serge Aerne will step down from his position as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and leave the company's management. However, he will continue to be a member of BFW's Board of Directors.
The background is the media coverage regarding controversial transactions at the Phoenix pension fund founded by Aerne and the related ongoing investigations, it is said. The position of CMO is not to be filled at present. (ah)
