Madaster and CRB enter into data partnership

Madaster, the online platform for shuttered materials, has agreed to cooperate with the Swiss Centre for Construction Rationalization CRB.

As part of the partnership, CRB grants Madaster the rights to use the Swiss classification of construction cost plans for building construction and civil engineering (eBKP-H and eBKP-T). In addition, Michel Bohren, Managing Director CRB, receives a seat on the advisory board of the organization.

The CRB's element-based construction cost plans serve planners, contractors, builders and investors as a common basis for a uniform presentation of cost information, CRB and Madaster announce. They can also be used to cover requirements from the BIM method.

Thanks to the cooperation with CRB, it will be possible in the future to display on the online platform which materials and products are used where in the building. The initiators are convinced that this will improve the recycling options for building materials. Recyclable material cycles can be closed more easily, waste reduced and landfill space saved.

Madaster Switzerland is a non-profit organization based in Zurich. It pursues the goal of preventing waste and promoting circular economy in the construction and real estate sector in Switzerland. Madaster went live in March. Strategic partners are Eberhard Unternehmungen, Losinger Marazzi, Raiffeisen Switzerland, Swiss Prime Site and Swiss Re. (ah)
