Swiss Life AM appoints Head of Sustainability
Nelufer Ansari will head the ESG activities of Swiss Life Asset Managers in the future. The asset manager intends to extend the sustainable investment approach to all asset classes and countries in which it operates.
About a year ago, Swiss Life Asset Managers integrated environmental, social and governance (ESG) sustainability criteria into its risk management and investment strategy. The company now wants to apply the sustainable investment approach to all asset classes and countries - and Nelufer Ansari (31) will take on this task as Head of Strategic and Special Tasks.
In this role, Ansari will also be responsible for developing a cross-country and cross-product ESG strategy for Swiss Life Asset Managers. She will be based in Zurich and report directly to Stefan Mächler, CIO of the Swiss Life Group.
Ansari studied business administration at the University of Mannheim and earned a master's degree in real estate (MScRE) at the University of Regensburg. She spent time abroad at the Korean University Business School and the University of Hong Kong. At the University of Regensburg, she completed her doctorate in the field of "Sustainability of Real Estate Companies" (Dr. rer. pol.), in parallel she was a research assistant at the Irebs Competence Center for Sustainability in the Real Estate Industry, also in Regensburg.
Ansari started her career at Beos AG, which became part of Swiss Life Asset Managers in 2018. She has been Head of Strategic & Special Tasks at Swiss Life Asset Managers since March 1, 2019. (ah)
