Swiss Life AM: Reorganisation of business in Germany
Swiss Life AM is reorganizing its German business. Under the leadership of CEO Tina Störmer, a new company will bundle the entire real estate and securities business.
Swiss Life Asset Managers has announced that this step will bring the German organization into line with the growth in business volume. The newly founded company will act as a holding company for the companies belonging to Swiss Life Asset Managers in Germany and will be based in Frankfurt am Main.
Anett Barsch, Managing Director of the Corpus Sireo project development division, is to drive forward the development business of Swiss Life Asset Managers in Germany as Head Real Estate Project Development. The new Head of Real Estate Asset Management will be Hendrik Staiger, a member of the Management Board of the subsidiary Beos. He will be responsible for the development, management, marketing and acquisition of real estate portfolios, according to Swiss Life AM.
Christine Bernhofer assumes the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and thus responsibility for the development and management of regulated and non-regulated fund products and vehicles for real estate and securities investments under German law.
As Head Proprietary Insurance Asset Management (PAM), Michael Essl is responsible for the assets of the German insurance units. He has been Chief Investment Officer Germany at Swiss Life AM since May 2018.
Michael Hennig takes over the sales function as Head Sales on the Executive Board of Swiss Life AM in Germany. Christian Schmid joins as an external newcomer from the Munich Re Group on September 1, 2019. He will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer.
There are also changes at Corpus Sireo Real Estate. Ralph Günther, who managed the real estate company on an interim basis, has resigned as planned. He is once again taking on the role of "Advisor to the Swiss Life Group CIO Stefan Mächler". Management member Michael Westerhove has left the company. Anett Barsch and Martin Eberhardt are now responsible for the operational management of Corpus Sireo. (ah)
