New CEO for Helvetica Property Investors
Helvetica Property Investors gets a new CEO: Hans R. Holdener hands over his office to Michael Müller, the former CEO of Ledermann Management.
Michael Müller will join Helvetica Property Investors on October 1, 2019, and after an induction period will take over the CEO role on January 1, 2020, the real estate company says. The 55-year-old architect and certified real estate trustee has been active in the real estate industry for many years. He was CEO of BFW Liegenschaften and accompanied the company's IPO. From 2010, he served as CEO of Ledermann Management, managing various large real estate projects.
Hans R. Holdener, who founded Helvetica Property Investors 13 years ago and has been at the helm of the company for many years, will join the board of directors and the investment committee. Holdener has decided to "place the operational management of the fund and asset management platform in new competent hands," Helvetica Property Investors said. Holdener will continue to contribute his expertise in the areas of client relations, marketing and business development in addition to his activities as a member of the board of directors and the investment committee, says Hans Ueli Keller, chairman of the company's board of directors.
"I am thrilled to have found a highly talented successor in the person of Michael Müller, who I am convinced will consistently continue the success story of Helvetica Property Investors AG," says Holdener. After 13 years as CEO, he is looking forward to taking on new tasks and working closely with Müller.
Reorganization in the management
In connection with the handover from Holdener to Müller, there will also be a reshuffle in the Executive Board. The Acquisition & Sales and Asset Management departments will be merged to form the new Investment Management unit, which will be headed by Frederic Königsegg as Chief Investment Officer. As a result, the Executive Board will in future consist of CEO Michael Müller, CIO Frederic Königsegg and CFO Peter R. Vogel.
According to the announcement, it will include Lucas Schlageter, who will join Helvetica from Swisscanto on November 1, and Salman Baday, who will be Head of Sales Switzerland in the future. Hans Peter Wasser, who has been Head of Asset Management for many years, will take over the management of important special projects.
In the meantime, Helvetica Property Investors announced that it also intends to enter the residential real estate business and plans to launch a new residential fund in the near future. (ah)
