Priora Suisse owns various buildings and plots of land within or immediately adjacent to the airport site that are important for the further development of Zurich Airport, according to a statement from Flughafen Zürich AG.

With a view to development in the east, south and west, the airport company is therefore buying a total of 36 properties from the company. These include the arch hangar, hangar 3, the catering building with parking lot, and various buildings for engine maintenance. The transaction does not include the area around the former Swissair headquarters at Balsberg, where Priora Suisse itself intends to realize a major real estate development under the name First District.

The notarization for the largest part of the portfolio reportedly took place on Dec. 12, 2019. With the transaction, the two parties also amicably settle "various ongoing appeal proceedings of minor importance," according to the airport company. (ah)
