Homegate gets a new CEO

Jens Paul Berndt is to become the new CEO of Homegate AG. He succeeds Nick McKittrick as of March 1 of this year.

With the appointment of Jens Paul Berndt, Homegate is relying on an internal solution: Berndt was most recently Deputy CEO and has been Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the company since 2016. Prior to that, the computer scientist worked in various roles for the Scout24 Group in Berlin and Vienna.

Nick McKittrick will join the company's board of directors, as well as the board of parent company TX Markets, following his retirement as CEO. McKittrick had been appointed CEO of Homegate in September 2018. At that time, he succeeded Axel Konjack, who had left the company.

The company operates Homegate.ch, which it claims is the largest Swiss real estate marketplace. In 2019, it recorded around 85 million visits - 15% more than in the previous year. The number of customers and properties also rose by 15% last year to a new high. (ah)
