Naef Immobilier: 2019 was a record year
Naef Immobilier Group sold nearly CHF600 million worth of real estate in 2019 - 15% more than the previous year and a record high.
Naef Immobilier reports that it has doubled its turnover within five years. The group currently employs 350 people at six locations in western Switzerland, and new agencies in Verbier and Fribourg are planned for 2020.
Business is very brisk in the segment of residential properties worth up to CHF 1.5 million, according to Etienne Nagy, Chief Executive Officer of Naef Immobilier. These properties are mainly in demand from first-time buyers, he said.
In luxury real estate, wealthy buyers are currently more interested in an apartment with services near a city center, Naef Immobilier further informs. However, villas, exceptional properties and land on the waterfront as well as in the mountains are still in high demand.
"We sold several properties for more than CHF 10 million, including a magnificent lakefront property in Crans near Céligny, for 23 million, our best sale in 2019," said Jacques Emery, sales director of Naef Prestige Knight Frank. In total, the Prestige segment achieved 44 sales over 2.5 million last year, representing 30% of the group's sales.
Earnings from the third division, Naef Investissement et Commercial, accounted for about 10% of group revenue in 2019 - a year-on-year growth of 15%, according to the company. (ah)
