Swiss Life AM buys Deutsche Börse headquarters
Swiss Life AM has acquired The Cube office tower in Eschborn. The property is the headquarters of Deutsche Börse AG.

The seller of the 23-story office building is Signa Holding GmbH. The sole tenant of The Cube is Deutsche Börse, which has had its headquarters there since 2010. According to a statement from Swiss Life AM, the signing already took place in December 2019; the parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The Cube will be transferred to the newly established Luxembourg-based vehicle German Office Landmark Properties Holding S.à.r.l., according to the statement.
The Cube has a gross floor area of 53,000 sqm and is located in Eschborn near Frankfurt. Eschborn is considered an important office location in the Rhine-Main region and is well connected to Frankfurt Airport. When completed in 2010, the property was the first high-rise in Germany to receive LEED Platinum certification.
The Cube is a convincing overall package, says Konstantin Hähndel, Head Portfolio Management PAM (Proprietary Insurance Asset Management) at Swiss Life Asset Managers Germany. "The excellent location in Eschborn, a first-class tenant with top credit rating and a very long-term yield." This makes the acquisition a very good investment, especially in this volatile market phase, he said. (ah)
