The Board of Directors of Senozon AG has elected 43-year-old Hannes Schmidt as the new CEO. He took over operational management of the group on June 1, 2020 from Jan Fülscher, who will remain Chairman of the Board of Directors and, according to a company statement, will now focus on strategic partnerships and investor relations, among other things.

Schmidt joined Senozon in January of this year and has been head of sales since then. According to the company, he previously worked for 15 years as a management consultant specializing in data management and digitization, most recently as a partner at CDQ AG.

Fülscher had taken over the operational management of Senozon from co-founder Michael Balmer in the fall of 2017 in addition to his position as Chairman of the Board of Directors. At that time, the focus had been on the design and introduction of the product and sales strategy. Now it is about the further implementation of the chosen path, says Fülscher, and Hannes Schmidt is the ideal person for this task.

Senozon is active in the areas of stationary retail, real estate development, traffic and outdoor advertising. With the help of a mobility model developed at ETH Zurich and TU Berlin, the company says it can determine precisely who is in which place, when and for what purpose, thus providing a data basis for strategic location decisions.
