Eberli AG strengthens Board of Directors
Eberli AG is rejuvenating its management team and strengthening its Board of Directors. Andreas Bachmann will be the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Switzerland construction and real estate company; in addition, Eberli AG is supplementing the Board of Directors with the proven real estate expert Tobias Achermann.

In recent years, the Eberli company from Sarnen has continued to develop as a dynamic construction and real estate company in Central Switzerland. Following the takeover of the business by Alain Grossenbacher and René Affentranger two years ago, the Board of Directors is now also being restructured: "It is important to me that we discuss strategic management issues openly, critically and constructively in the top management body. That is why I have always wanted external members to contribute their expertise to the Board of Directors. Together we are building bridges and building the future," says Alain Grossenbacher.
The new Chairman of the Board of Directors will be the independent lawyer Andreas Bachmann, who has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2018. Majority shareholder Grossenbacher is thus relinquishing his dual function as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors - this step had been planned since Alain Grossenbacher and René Affentranger took over the business in 2018.
Tobias Achermann is a new member of the Board of Directors. The real estate expert was CEO of the listed Zug real estate company Zug Estates until the end of May 2020. As of June 2020, the Board of Directors of Eberli Holding AG will be composed as follows:
Andreas Bachmann, Chairman; Alain Grossenbacher, majority shareholder, Board delegate and CEO; René Affentranger, co-owner and Managing Director of Bauunternehmung; Gabriela Eberli; Tobias Achermann.
There will also be a change in the management. On July 1, 2020, Martin Barmettler from Nidwalden will take over as Head of Real Estate at Eberli AG. He will succeed Hanspeter Würmli, who will retire at the end of the year. On assuming his new role, Barmettler will also become a member of the Executive Board. (bw)
