PKG Pension Fund appoints new Head of Real Estate

As of January 2021, Hans-Urs Baumann, currently with Fundamenta Group, will become the new Head of Real Estate and a member of the Executive Board of PKG Pension Fund. He succeeds Gerold Moser.

Hans-Urs Baumann (55) is currently a member of the Executive Board of Fundamenta Group (Schweiz) AG. Previously, he was the cantonal architect in Lucerne, where his responsibilities included managing the canton's real estate department. Baumann studied architecture and completed postgraduate studies in business administration and management as well as a master's degree in real estate management at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences.

Baumann's predecessor Gerold Moser (64) will retire at the beginning of 2021. He worked for the PKG pension fund for 17 years, during which time he built up a real estate portfolio with a volume of CHF 600 million. It consists mainly of residential properties in good locations in the cantons of Lucerne, Zurich, Nidwalden, Aargau, Schwyz and Thurgau.

When he takes office on January 4, 2021, Baumann will not only become Head of Real Estate at the pension fund, but also a member of the PKG Executive Board at the same time. In the future, the management of the PKG Pension Fund will consist of Chairman Peter Fries, Head of Pensions Romy Portmann, Head of Finance and Accounting Peter Duft and Hans-Urs Baumann as Head of Real Estate.
