Ton Goedmakers (40) will be appointed CEO of the family-owned company Vebego, effective January 1, 2021. He takes over this role from Ronald Goedmakers (58), who was CEO for 16 years. Ronald Goedmakers will also remain a member of the Executive Board.

Ton Goedmakers has been a member of Vebego's Board of Directors since 2018. Previously, he was, among other things, Division Manager at Vebego in Switzerland and General Manager at EMC Artsen en Verpleegkundigen. According to the company, Vebego intends to strengthen its organization in the coming years; in the coming months it will work on a blueprint for a sustainable company. The aim, it says, is to build a powerful organization made up of strong companies that will become leaders in their markets. Following the investigation phase, a decision is to be taken in the first half of 2021 on how and in what timeframe the restructuring into larger companies is to be implemented. Vebego aims to complete this process by 2023.

Vebego is also strengthening its Executive Board with Giuseppe Santagada and Mark van Haasteren as of January 1. Giuseppe Santagada joined Vebego in 2018 and is currently Division Head in Switzerland. On the board, he will serve as Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will be responsible for Vebego's Swiss and German companies. Mark van Haasteren joined Vebego in 2019 and is currently Division Head in the Netherlands. He will be responsible as Group COO for the Dutch and Belgian companies on the board. (bw)
