Empira Group appoints new CEO

Marcus Bartenstein will take over as chief executive officer (CEO) at investment and asset manager Empira on Jan. 1, 2021. Bartenstein is to lead the company together with chief operating officer Michael Schmidt.

Furthermore, Empira founder and board member Lahcen Knapp announces the introduction of a "strongly positioned new management level". Accordingly, the positions of Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) are also to be filled in the coming months.

The future CEO Bartenstein has more than 20 years of experience in leading positions in the real estate industry. Most recently, he headed the Covivio Group's German business together with Dr. Daniel Frey. Previously, Bartenstein held other positions within the Group, such as CIO. (ah)
