ISS: Sales decline in Corona year
Facility management company ISS Switzerland reports sales of CHF 759 million for the 2020 financial year, down from CHF 820 million in the previous year. The main reason for the decline was the loss of a large mandate.

The decline in sales in the financial year is primarily in the context of the global loss of a mandate from a pharmaceutical company for which ISS Switzerland held a major mandate, the company said. Adjusted for this loss of orders, the company grew slightly despite the impact of the pandemic.
ISS generated 70 percent of its sales with a total of around 12,500 employees in German-speaking Switzerland, 25 percent in French-speaking Switzerland and five percent in Ticino. The largest share of sales was generated by the Cleaning service units, which include maintenance and special cleaning (42% of sales), and Property (40%), which includes building services, data center operation and construction project management. The in-house production depth is put at 87 percent. (ah)
