Mipim 2021 to be moved to September

This year, the international real estate trade fair Mipim will not take place in June as planned, but in September. This was announced by the organizer Reed Midem.

According to Reed Midem, the "Mipim September Edition" will take place on September 7 and 8 in Cannes as a hybrid event. In 2022, the real estate show is scheduled to return to its traditional March date in Cannes, planned for March 15-18.

"It is not possible to hold Mipim in Cannes in June, as we had originally hoped," said Mipim director Ronan Vaspart. Last fall, Reed Midem decided that the important 2021 real estate show would not be held in March as usual because of the pandemic; June 7-10 was set as the new date. Now this date will also be postponed, and at the same time the fair will be shortened to two days. In addition, Mipim September Edition will be a hybrid event: On-site meetings, exhibitions and conferences will be expanded to include digital offerings.

In 2020, Reed Midem had already postponed Mipim from the beginning of March to June. Last year, this make-up date could not be kept either. Instead, an autumn conference was held in Paris in September, supplemented by digital offerings.

March won't be completely devoid of real estate trade shows this year, however: from March 16 to 18, Reed Midem will host the Leaders' Perspectives Summit, an all-digital event for real estate professionals, investors and policymakers. (ah)
