Steiner Invest: Growth despite pandemic
The Steiner Investment Foundation is satisfied with the course of the 2020 financial year despite the Covid-19 pandemic. The year was characterized by strong growth, it says.

In 2020, planned projects were completed, existing ones moved forward and some groundbreakings were celebrated, the Steiner Investment Foundation said. There have been no delays at construction sites, it said.
The invested capital of the Swiss Development Residential (SDR) investment group rose from CHF 300 million to CHF 656.8 million in the year under review, and the NAV per claim increased by 6.66% to CHF 129.61. Furthermore, the investment foundation launched the new investment group Swiss Development Commercial (SDC) last year and expanded the investor base to almost 70 pension funds. The two investment groups SDR and SDC comprise 15 new development projects.
"In order to maintain a stable position, we have focused on diversification in our new acquisitions and have now created a good balance of projects in eastern and western Switzerland," says CFO Peter Hausberger. This strategic orientation has a positive effect on the risk-return profile, not only in times of crisis.
The goals for 2021 are to further reduce the carbon footprint of the properties and also to significantly expand the portfolio.
