Thomas Casata (1965, Swiss) will take up his new role as CEO of Plazza AG on January 1, 2022, retaining his role as CFO.

The appointment of Casata as CEO means the continuation of the previous very successful and proven management team, writes Plazza in a statement. As CFO, he had very quickly familiarised himself with the special features of the real estate sector, professionally managed the finance area and developed exemplary decision-making principles for the Executive Board and the Board of Directors.

Ralph Siegle's duties in the Real Estate division will in future be performed by a Head of Real Estate/Portfolio as a member of the three-strong Executive Board. This position will be created as part of the succession plan as of 1 January 2022. The corresponding search has already been initiated, the company said.

Casata joined Plazza as CFO in 2016. Prior to that, the business economist was, among other things, a partner at EJ Capital and spent around 13 years as CFO and member of the Group Executive Board at ExecuJet Aviation Group in Zurich, at Ascom in Bern and at Esec in Cham. (ah)
