The DBS Group, a subsidiary of the French Foncia, and the Intercity Group want to combine their network of locations and their experience in the field of real estate management, the two companies announced. Together, they want to expand their property management activities and create a basis to be prepared for change and the pressure to innovate in the industry. The ten branches of Gribi Bewirtschaftung and Intercity Bewirtschaftung will now operate under the IntercityGribi brand.

However, Gribi Bewirtschaftung AG and Intercity Bewirtschaftung AG will remain two separate legal entities despite the common brand. As part of the partnership, the DBS Group holds a half stake in Intercity Bewirtschaftung AG. DBS acquired Gribi, a real estate services provider headquartered in Basel, two years ago, in May 2021, it took over the Lucerne-based Contrust Immobilien AG.

For DBS, the partnership with Intercity is "a milestone on the way to becoming one of the leading real estate managers in Switzerland," says Christophe Hubschmid, CEO of the DBS Group. The Group's nationwide presence represents a significant competitive advantage.

Herbert Wüst, CEO and majority shareholder of the family-run Intercity Group, also sees the partnership as strengthening the company's management activities: "We are convinced that we will create added value for our customers and that we are ideally equipped to meet the challenges of the industry."

All real estate services provided by the two companies that are not management-related - such as marketing, construction management and valuations - will continue to be provided by the existing brands of the two holding companies. (ah)
