At the end of 2020, Fnac Switzerland and Manor tested shop-in-shops in four Manor stores in Chavannes, Monthey, Biel and Vésenaz as part of a pilot project. The pilot phase was successful and a partnership agreement has now been signed under which Fnac will set up a further 23 shop-in-shops in Manor department stores by mid-2022, the companies wrote in a joint statement.

The Fnac stores will be operated as concession spaces of up to 1,000 square meters. The offer will include, in particular, products and services in the fields of books, music, cinema, multimedia, video games, telephony, photography, small household appliances and accessories.

By the end of this year, it is planned to open in ten Manor department stores in French-speaking Switzerland, with areas in 13 further department stores in German-speaking Switzerland and Ticino to be added next year. In addition, Fnac will in future be represented in the manor.ch online store.

Fnac Darty expects the collaboration to generate additional sales of at least 100 million euros (CHF 110 million) on a full-year basis. In addition to the stores at Manor, Fnac also operates its own stores in Geneva, Lausanne, Neuchâtel, Fribourg, Conthey, Montreux and Allaman. (ah)
