Implenia and Deutsche Seereederei GmbH each have a 50% stake in Rubus Development GmbH, which is based in Hamburg. Deutsche Seereederei is an investment holding company from Rostock that owns and operates hotels and resorts through a subsidiary, among other things.

The aim of Rubus Development is to develop sustainable, standardised and industrialised real estate products for the green hospitality sector in the tourism markets of the Baltic and North Seas, the Alps and Italy, says Implenia. Rubus Development is reportedly already responsible for a portfolio of various development projects in the DACH region. The company is set to greatly expand the business model for developments in both the new-build and modernisation segments, it adds.

On the shareholder side, the company is managed by Adrian Wyss, Head Division Real Estate and member of Implenia's Executive Committee, and Horst Rahe, Managing Partner of Deutsche Seereederei. Rubus Development is managed by Reimer Siegert of Implenia and Carsten Wilmsen of Deutsche Seereederei. (ah)
