Together with Westbridge, JLL wants to provide sustainability services in the relevant EMEA markets, such as strategy & reporting, building evaluation and optimisation. This would result in major synergies with the existing services with which JLL covers the life cycle of real estate, according to the real estate services provider. Particular attention is being paid to institutional investors and corporates in Europe, who need to optimise the energy consumption of their properties in order to achieve their ESG goals.

"Anyone who wants to become climate neutral must first turn the energy screw and save. The demand for efficiency consulting is therefore greater than ever and continues to grow," says Sabine Eckhardt, CEO JLL Central Europe. Worldwide, real estate currently accounts for around 40% of total energy consumption. There is enormous savings potential here, which is why many companies give emission reduction the highest priority.

Westbridge Advisory was founded in 2015 and was initially active in strategic energy purchasing. Today, the firm also specialises in optimising operating costs and implementing sustainability strategies. Westbridge serves clients in various parts of the EMEA region from Frankfurt. (ah)
