Mobimo makes acquisitions in the Zurich area and in western Switzerland

By acquiring Erni Real Estate AG and its subsidiary Erni Liegenschaften AG, Mobimo has become the owner of the approximately 16,000 sqm Erni site in Wangen-Brüttisellen (ZH). The site is in an excellent location and comprises two existing buildings with office, restaurant and commercial space as well as an area of around 12,000 sqm with development potential, Mobimo said.

The existing buildings are to be transferred to the investment portfolio, and the company intends to create a mixed-use, sustainable quarter with residential and commercial uses on the development site. One of Mobimo's core competencies is neighbourhood development, and "with the Erni site, our developers now have an exciting task ahead of them," says CEO Daniel Ducrey.

In addition, Mobimo purchased three properties in Biel, Neuchâtel and Fribourg in mid-December 2021. The seller is a company from the financial sector that will continue to use the space as a tenant, the real estate company says. With the acquisition, Mobimo is expanding its portfolio in western Switzerland for the first time to include locations outside the greater Lausanne and Geneva areas, says Ducrey. (ah)
