Steiner Investment Foundation expands portfolio
Following investments in the city centers of Basel and Geneva, the Steiner Investment Foundation has made two acquisitions in the greater Zurich area.

The Steiner Investment Foundation has recently acquired a plot of land at Hohlstrasse 1990/192 in the well-developed and central Zurich district of Aussersihl with a view to realizing a project with a "future-oriented mix of uses" over the next few years. The development is intended to "make a significant contribution to making the Aussersihl neighborhood even more attractive," says Marcel Weiler, Head Transaction Management at Steiner Investment Foundation. "To this end, we will certainly engage in intensive discussions with the city of Zurich."
Furthermore, the investment foundation acquired a 16,000 sqm site on the eastern edge of the village of Oetwil am See (ZH) in order to realize condominiums here in close proximity to sports and leisure facilities over the next few years. "What has become possible here is what has shown itself to be a great need in Switzerland over the last two years," says Reto Niedermann, CEO of the Steiner Investment Foundation. The plan, he says, is to build "beautiful apartments in a green setting that allow home offices while being close to recreational opportunities and attractive workplaces."
With the current acquisitions, the investment foundation's Swiss Development Residential investment group now invests in all three of Switzerland's economic metropolises.
