In September 2019, Zug Estates became the first Swiss real estate company to issue a green bond, and now another green bond is to follow. The bond, which will be paid on February 17, 2022, has a volume of CHF 100 million, a coupon of 0.75% and a maturity of 7.17 years, according to the company. The bond portfolio thus consists entirely of financing instruments geared to sustainability, Zug Estates said.

The placement has met with broad interest among institutional investors, the statement continues. The funds will be invested directly and in full in the Suurstoffi site in Risch Rotkreuz. It is already being operated almost CO2-free. (ah)
