Superlab Suisse has so far operated a site in Lausanne, where the company provides ready-to-use and fully equipped research and laboratory space according to the "Lab as a Service" concept. Swiss Prime Site Immobilien and Superlab Suisse now intend to jointly develop new sites in Basel and Schlieren with a total area of over 10,000 sqm starting this year.

The site in Basel will be built right next to Stücki Park, which already houses a laboratory building and a technology park. Over the next 18 months, a state-of-the-art building with laboratory and research space will be realized by Superlab Suisse, Swiss Prime Site Immobilien announces. The second new building project is planned in Schlieren on the JED site. In this, research and laboratory space for start-ups, spin-offs or established companies is to be created on two floors in collaboration with Superlab Suisse, according to Swiss Prime Site Immobilien.

According to the real estate company, the demand for flexible office and commercial space has been increasing for years, and the trend towards more flexible rental space for other types of use is also growing steadily. According to Martin Kaleja, CEO of Swiss Prime Site Immobilien, modern fit-out standards, the flexibility of the space and the guarantee of support and services are the decisive factors. Kaleja is convinced that Superlab Suisse is the perfect partner for the flexibilization and scaling of laboratory and research space. While Superlab Suisse provides its platform, Swiss Prime Site Immobilien contributes its real estate expertise and development resources. (ah)
