Helvetia fund raises 210 million
Helvetia (CH) Swiss Property Fund has successfully completed its first capital increase and raised CHF 210 million from investors.

Helvetia Asset Management announced that the capital increase of the Helvetia (CH) Swiss Property Fund met with great interest and was significantly oversubscribed. 2 million fund units were subscribed at a subscription price of CHF 105.00 net per unit; the capital increase thus had a volume of CHF 210 million. The subscription ratio was 94%. After the payment on March 31, 6.5 million fund units will be in circulation.
The proceeds of the issue will be used to acquire a portfolio of properties with a market value of 298.2 million, Helvetia Asset Management said. In addition, debt capital in the amount of 100 million will be raised. The portfolio is broadly diversified geographically and includes ten properties, with a high residential component, the fund management company added. The Helvetia (CH) Swiss Property Fund will thus have 39 properties with a market value of 846 million as of April 1, 2022.
The Helvetia (CH) Swiss Property Fund's real estate portfolio is to be further expanded, with the main share invested in residential properties, supplemented by mixed-use and commercial properties, the fund management company announces. The portfolio will be built up primarily through further transactions from the Helvetia Insurance portfolio. In addition, it is intended to list the Helvetia (CH) Swiss Property Fund on the SIX Swiss Exchange within one to three years, thus making it accessible to non-qualified investors. (ah)
